Kerry’s Papercraft: JAI #581 – Simply Add Legs

Welcome! It is time for an additional weekly problem with Simply Add Ink and this time round we would like you to

So many possibilites – we won’t wait to see what you give you!

I made a decision to characteristic a creepy crawly with plenty of legs (might have been influenced by the huntsman spider that is been wandering round my place for the previous few weeks, lol). Now, as luck would have it, across the identical time I started to consider creating, my new misery color arrived and was needing for use – you understand how it’s ;-D My first play was to mix this luscious purple (villainous potion) with the gorgeousness of orange (crackling campfire) and after I noticed them collectively – oh wow! Instantly a imaginative and prescient of a card got here to thoughts – and the remaining, as they are saying, is historical past, lol.

My grunge aspect has undoubtedly come out to play with this combined media card – have a look, then I will inform you all about it.

My first step was to create the background on thick watercolour card. I sprayed with villainous potion and crackling campfire oxide sprays and as soon as they have been dry, did a little bit stamping in black earlier than stencilling with misery crackle paste. I needed high quality crackles, so utilized solely a skinny coat right here and there by my stencil. As soon as it had accomplished its magic, I rubbed misery crayon into the crackles to spotlight them then sponged black ink round all the perimeters to create a border and draw the attention in to the centre. The final step was so as to add some paint splatters in each black and white. Simply love all of the speckly, crackly goodness!

I made a second background in predominantly orange ink with some purple speckles, minimize out a chunk for my tag, stamped my creepy crawly on it and once more on plain card. It was colored with a misery marker then I added shiny accents to provide it that creepy, shiny onerous shell look. I added a couple of items of ephemera and a remnant rub to the tag in addition to some grunged-up mummy fabric.

Like I mentioned, I actually obtained my grunge on! Not my common model however it’s enjoyable to step exterior your field once in a while, do not you assume?
